The Can-Pack Group will start commercial production from a modern, highly efficient plant in Helmond (NL). During the topping out ceremony on October 11th, Chief Executive Operating Officer Mr. Stanislaw Wasko, from the Polish head office, thanked both the construction and engineering team for their hard work and progress. Local authorities also attended the ceremony, where local management team members Mr. Marco Snoeren (General Manager) and Mr. Hans-Jan Oskamp (Technical Director) were introduced.
The new factory will facilitate our distribution throughout Europe, but also offers us the opportunity to bring in local talent.
Marco Snoeren - General Manager - Can-Pack Group
While no specific numbers are available as of yet, he makes it clear that there will be a considerable number of new hires, particularly in the operational and technical departments. Snoeren: “We are currently building up our new structure in the Netherlands.”
The Can-Pack Group is not a newcomer to the metal packaging market. For over 25 years, the enterprise has been a leading manufacturer in the rigid food packaging industry in Central and Eastern Europe – and their market position in Europe, Asia and Africa keeps growing. Snoeren: “The Can-Pack Group has been present in the Dutch market for over 10 years now. We pride ourselves in being able to provide for the needs of the Benelux region.”
Local expert Brabant Development Agency worked closely together with Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency, Brainport Development and the city of Helmond, to support the Can-Pack Group in establishing this new factory and improving distribution throughout Europe.
