If you’ve watched videos in the last 10 years, you probably know JW Player. One out of six people in the world uses the video platform of Jeroen Wijering, Co-founder and Creator of JW Player. The company is headquartered in New York and is the world’s largest network-independent video platform. Now they have announced the growth and momentum of their office based in Eindhoven.

JW Player sells technology to companies and organizations that publish videos on the internet. And of course the location contributes to these activities, with Eindhoven being the city of technology. Since its opening in July 2017 as the engineering and support headquarters for JW Player’s many European clients, the Eindhoven office has grown to a team of eight. The Eindhoven office provides local support for its growing base of customers, including Sanoma, Talpa Media, PSV and Q-dance.

In 2018, the Eindhoven office has plans to expand its team substantially with the new headcount being focused on product development. Additionally, the 2018 plans include hiring more local product and engineering talent.

“Video will continue to be the most important sector of the market for the foreseeable future and we’re looking to hire best product and engineering talent in the Netherlands to support our clients and growth”, says Jeroen Wijering.
