More than 50% of innovative multinationals are active in Brabant
27 of the 50 companies that are the most innovative companies in the world are active in Brabant. This is shown by research by the Boston Consultancy Group and the Brabant Development Agency.
“It is not a goal to bring the entire world top to Brabant,” says Eelko Brinkhoff, Director of BOM Foreign Investments & International Trade. “But our research has shown that the innovative companies know how to find Brabant and create a lot of economic value.”
Employment opportunities
27 innovative companies have 49 branches spread across Brabant. They employ 17,000 employees. That doesn’t even include the employment it creates for the suppliers!
R&D activities
The activities range from a sales office, head office, (outsourced) distribution, production and service & repair. Brinkhoff: “About 30 percent of the companies have research & development activities in Brabant. This of course fits very well with the innovative character of Brabant.”
The top 50 of the most innovative companies in the world was compiled for the 14th time this year by the Boston Consultancy Group. Only eight companies have made it to the list each year: Alphabet, Amazon, Apple, HP, IBM, Microsoft, Samsung and Toyota.
