Privacy Statement
Privacy and information security are important principles for BOM. It is of utmost importance to us and our approach that you have confidence in how we handle this data.
As of May 25, 2018, all companies that process the personal data of European citizens must comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). What follows is the approach adopted by BOM.
Basic policy: consent of the person concerned
We have your name and email address on file, and we use those details so that we can identify you as having a relationship with BOM and so that we can send you our newsletter or invitations to a range of BOM events. We do not use that data for other purposes, nor do we transmit it to third parties. If you do not wish to continue receiving our newsletter or invitations, you can unsubscribe using the button below.
Who has access to your data?
BOM uses third-party applications to support the services we offer. We have concluded processing agreements with these suppliers in order to delineate how personal data is handled, who is responsible for what, and where the data is stored.
Through its Processing Register, BOM has not only charted all its suppliers, it has also determined what personal data is stored. Impact analyses have highlighted the most significant risks to privacy.
How long do we keep your data?
We do not store your data for longer than is necessary for the reason we require it. On principle, we adhere to a storage period of two years, but that can differ according to the objectives. After that period, we erase all data we received from you.
What are your rights?
The GDPR means that you remain in control of your data. If you would like to access your personal data and obtain a copy of it, or if you want to change it, remove it, restrict its use or amend your email preferences, then let us know by email.
