Tilburg-Waalwijk Logistics Hotspot of the year third time in a row
The Tilburg-Waalwijk region in Brabant has been named the Logistics Hotspot in the Netherlands for the third consecutive time. A special achievement, as only the Venlo-Venray region managed to win three consecutive times in the history of the election. The highlight this year is Eindhoven-Helmond with a fourth position.
In a survey – an initiative of Logistiek.nl – that was conducted in April, a panel of 32 logistics real estate experts gave Tilburg-Waalwijk by far the most votes in the three main criteria of this election: availability of personnel, availability of land and government cooperation. Divided over these three criteria, a total of 24 panel members ranked this region number one in their favorite top ten logistics hotspot regions of the Netherlands.
In the other seven criteria that are part of the election: motivation of personnel, infrastructure, accessibility of logistics hotspots, sustainability and the best performing national e-fulfillment hotspot region, the national distribution hotspot region and cross-border e-fulfillment hotspot, Tilburg-Waalwijk also received the most votes of the panel members.
The ten largest logistics service providers in the Netherlands gave the most votes to West Brabant, South of Limburg and Eindhoven-Helmond. The logistics hotspot Eindhoven-Helmond is the runner-up of the election with a remarkable fourth position, up from thirteen in 2020.
