Smits also states that the focus on digitization, sustainability and labor market development in Brabant has contributed to achieving the first place in the hotspot election for the second time. “We want to be and remain a frontrunner in smart and sustainable logistics, which means that achieving this title again is an honor.”
Logistics sector seeks balance
“An honorable and special achievement”, is the first reaction of Berend de Vries, Alderman for Economy in Tilburg. “In this region, we work hard to find a balance between economic development, growth and employment on one hand, and sustainability, biodiversity, living pleasure and recreation on the other. It’s worth congratulating the sector for this second year in a row. ”
The other side of the success of Tilburg – Waalwijk is the increase in the number of logistic centers. De Vries states that he takes the increasing criticism very seriously.
